Calling all students from the University of Limerick, Limerick School of Art and Design and Limerick Institute of Technology.

Have you ever wanted to learn a skill that wasn’t available in your university of choice? Have you wanted to be a part of a project that allowed for the skills of people from a wide range of academic backgrounds?

Third-year Architecture student, Anna Blair, has thought about these projects in some shape or form, so much so that she decided to form her own project: Creative Collaboration Limerick.

What does it entail?

The idea is to encourage students and graduates of these three universities to come together, combine their skills from their various fields of study and work on creative projects together. When asked, Anna stated that she hopes Creative Collaboration Limerick ‘creates a multidisciplinary energy among students and graduates in Limerick.’

The initiative aims to make channels of communication between different types of creatives easier and facilitate creative projects.

It is hoped that the collaboration will encourage a trade of skills, where students and graduates of each degree can pass on the knowledge learned in their course to another student or graduate in a creative and welcoming atmosphere.

There is a meeting tomorrow in Merriman House in Limerick city at 6pm where all those interested can discuss collaboration and potential interdisciplinary projects.
