UL student Life, the Student Welfare Officer, and Staff have teamed up to host the Wellness Wednesday events over the next couple of weeks.

The student representative body’s newest initiative will run for six weeks until Wednesday, March 6th and is free to students and staff alike.

The events are aimed to promote wellbeing, and positive health behaviours on campus and prizes and incentives are up for grabs for those participating.

“We hope to encourage staff and students to dedicate just one day of their week to consciously make good decisions that will benefit their health” Welfare Officer Lorcan O’Donnell said.

There will be weekly events taking place such as meditation at the contemplative centre from 8:15 to 8:45 and ‘Get Upside Down’ at the Student Life centre from 3:00 to 3:30 pm, as well as once off events every week.

“Each week will have something different such as have workshops, free breakfasts, campus runs and walks, free gym classes and so on,” Mr. O’Donnell said.

As many of these events have limited spaces, especially the mediation course, make sure to sign up for those that peak your interest to avoid disappointment.

Any student who is interested in getting involved or has any ideas for Wellness Wednesday can drop Lorcan an email at StudentWelfare@ul.ie.
